Archie Lee Jones, Sr., 82, of Suffolk, VA passed away October 22, 2015. He was born in Whaleyville, VA to the late Otha and Lucille Jones. He is also predeceased by his wife, Peggy Whatley Jones; sisters, Virginia Parker and Buelah Bunch; brothers, Starling Jones, Elmore Jones, and Roland Jones; granddaughter, Amy Lynn Perry; and grandson, Luke Winslow Drewry. Archie retired as a production manager at Amadas Industries. He also worked for over 44 years at Roy's and Ricky's Catering. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Archie enjoyed Barbequing and was an avid coin collector.

Archie is survived by his daughters, Susan Jones-Perry and husband, Sonny, Lucy J. Drewry and husband, Leslie J. Glover, and husband, Morris, Jr.; sons, Archie Lee Jones, Jr. and Floyd M. Jones and wife, Angie; grandchildren, Jason B. Drewry, Seth P. Drewry, Cary T. Glover, Katie M. Glover and Danya P. Jones; and special friend, Flora Cutchins.

A graveside service with military honors will be held Monday, October 26, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Nansemond-Suffolk Cemetery, 1421 Kings Fork Rd., Suffolk, VA 23434, with Seth P. Drewry officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr. Suffolk, VA 23434 and other times at Floyd and Angie's residence.
