Anne Manning Johnson's Obituary
Anne Manning Johnson, 58 of Smithfield passed away Tuesday January 19, at her residence, a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Anne is survived by her husband of 17 years, Samuel "Doug" Johnson. She was the daughter of Anne Mathews Manning and the late James Earl Manning. Two step daughters Stacy J. Miller (Kent) and Ashley J. Liufau (Chris) and her step grandchildren Sydney, Katelyn, and Emma. Anne was predeceased by a brother Joey T. Manning.
A loving wife and daughter, Anne had recently enjoyed her retirement from the hotel industry and the post office.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 25 at 2 p.m. in Trinity United Methodist Church, Smithfield. Visitation will follow the service. In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made to the National Kidney Foundation National Kidney Foundation, Finance Department, 30 East 33rd St.,
New York, NY 10016, or the Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 97, Smithfield, VA 23431.
Services are entrusted to Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, Suffolk, VA. Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.
