Alphonse Michael "Andy" Andrews, 93, passed away February 2, 2013. He was born in Lowell, MA the son of the late Michael and Mary Andrulonis. He was predeceased by his wife, Francis Garratt Andrews of Suffolk, VA. He was a veteran having served in the United States Navy. Andy later went on to serve 30 years in federal service as the Director of Operating Rights for the Civil Aeronautics Board in Washington, DC and later he served as an aviation consultant. He lived and raised his family from 1952-1979 in Annandale, VA and retired in Suffolk, VA. He was a member of HarborPointe Community Church in Hampton, VA and an associate member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Suffolk.

Andy is survived by his sons, James Michael Andrews and wife, Betty of Alexandria, VA, Rev. Dr. Thomas C. Andrews and wife, Ann of Hampton, VA; daughter, Marion A. Becker and husband, Randy of Forest, VA; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and sister, Anne Scanlon of Spring, TX.

A memorial service will be held Friday, February 8, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Dr. Thomas C. Andrews officiating. A private burial will be held prior to the service in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to HarborPointe Community Church at 351 E. Mercury Blvd., Hampton, VA 23663.
