Alice Simpkins Hyatt, 47, of Severn, NC passed away on June 30, 2013. A native of Suffolk, VA she was the daughter of the late Samuel Ray Simpkins and Opal S. Simpkins. She was also predeceased by her sister, Judy Saunders. Alice worked in quality control for Severn Peanut Company and was a member of Suffolk Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband Kenneth Martin Hyatt; daughter Kendall Hyatt; son Sam Hyatt; sisters and brothers-in-law: Sue and Richard Brinkley, Karen and Tommy Byrum, Debbie and Bret Smith, Paula and David Frank; brothers and sisters-in-law: Mike and Susan Simpkins and Elliott and Betty Simpkins and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 6, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Suffolk Church of Christ, 2025 Holland Road, Suffolk, officiated by Fred Ford.
