Alex Ernest Manning, 73, passed away April 8, 2014. He was the son of the late Ida Bea Rawls Manning and King David Manning, Sr. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served as a Staff Sergeant during the Vietnam War.

Alex is survived by his wife of 44 years, Elizabeth Lue Manning; 6 sons, 4 grandchildren; great grandchildren, Samantha Pelkey and Logan Pelkey; and brother, Charles C. Manning.

A graveside memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veteran Cemetery with Reverend David Nicholes officiating. Friends may join the family other times at the residence. Condolences may be registered online at parrfuneralhome.com.
