Albert Eugene Moore, 75, of Suffolk, VA passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on December 16, 2014. He was born on September 18, 1939 in Winfall, NC to the late Alton and Ona Moore. He was also predeceased by an infant brother, Alton Ray Moore, Jr. Albert served as a firefighter for over 25 years. He attended Community Baptist Church. Albert enjoyed freshwater fishing throughout the lakes of Suffolk. He was also a diehard Yankees fan and watched their games every chance he got.

Albert is survived by his wife of 52 years, Phyllis B. Moore; daughter, Betty M. Rhodes and husband, Robert of Suffolk, VA; sister-in-law, Pauline Winslow and husband, Larry of Chesapeake, VA; brothers-in-law, Leroy Byrum and wife, Merle, Jerry Byrum and wife, Joyce of Tyner, NC.; several nieces and nephews; and special friends Bill and Larry.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 20, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA with Rev. David Nicholes officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family would like to thank Dr. Walker and the doctors and staff of Virginia Oncology.
