Carol Lynne Gauthier, 69, of Windsor, VA passed away on April 16, 2012. A native of Newark, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Charles Herzog and Florence Helmig Herzog. She was also predeceased by her brother, William Herzog. She was the receptionist at Chubb and Son Insurance Co. and a member of St. Jude’s Catholic Church. Carol was a graduate of Columbia High School in Maplewood, NJ and enjoyed sewing, making clothes for her children, traveling on bus trips, as well as being a member of the Smithfield Little Theater and the Southampton Concert Association.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Edmond Charles Gauthier; daughters: Suzanne Forster and her husband Daryl of South Plainfield, NJ and their daughter Megan Forster; and Keri Gauthier of Virginia Beach, VA; son Brian Gauthier and his wife Mary of Basking Ridge, NJ and their children Grace and Bryce Gauthier; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, April 20, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at St Jude’s Catholic Church, 1014 Clay Street, Franklin, VA with Father Charles Saglio officiating. Burial will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. Friends may join the family for visitation either on Thursday from 6 – 9 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk or Friday from 9 – 11 a.m., also at the funeral home.
